The SRP Group was founded in the year 1960 by Mr. SRMPL Subramanian. He started his first business venture in the Leather industry by manufacturing Full Shoes and finished leather products.
In the Year 1964 he founded SRP Tools Limited which grew to become a pioneer in the Indian Machine Tool Industry. It was the largest Gear Cutting Tool manufacturing firm in India and was a supplier to several global firms including Boeing Inc. In the Year 2004 the Promoters sold their stake in the SRP Tools to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Japan).
Currently the Group has interests in Manufacturing activities like Defence Equipments and Gears and Has also ventured into newer streams of businesses in areas such as Hospitality, Financial Services and Warehousing.
